Who we are

TGM Aluminum is a manufacturer dedicated to aluminum welding wire, covering five common grades — ER4043, ER4047, ER5356, ER5183 and ER5554 — for both TIG and MIG processes, all produced to the AWS A5.10 standard. Compared with our peers, we additionally stock ER4047 and ER5554: the former, with its higher silicon content, suits cast-aluminum repair and joints that call for greater fluidity, while the latter meets the material requirements of applications such as rail-car bodies and gantry structures. Customers can complete selection and matching across the full range with a single supplier.

Over the past two decades, we have continued to refine the key processes of drawing, cleaning and winding aluminum wire. Our positioning is practical and dependable: serving general industry and the domestic and Chinese-speaking markets with ample stock, consistent quality and reasonable pricing — trustworthy aluminum welding consumables for our customers.

In stock with stable lead times

All five grades and the common diameters are kept in stock year-round, allowing prompt supply once an order is placed. When material runs short or schedules are tight, our stable lead times and rapid replenishment help customers maintain continuity in their production plans. On reorder, grades and batches can be matched to those already in use, so there is no need to re-establish welding parameters.

Reliable stock availability may seem ordinary, yet it bears directly on production continuity — when consumable supply is uninterrupted, welding work need not pause for material. This is precisely the supply assurance we aim to provide our customers.

Layer-wound spools — tangle-free pay-off, smooth feeding

We wind our wire on layer-wound (orderly-traverse) spools. The turns are arranged neatly layer by layer, so the wire pays off without tangling or overlapping and feeds smoothly. Whether fed automatically or by hand, the wire comes off evenly and consistently, helping to keep the welding process continuous.

Smooth feeding markedly reduces jams and stoppages, with no need to clear tangles midway, and a single spool can be used continuously from start to finish. For higher-volume welding, layer-wound spools offer a tangible advantage in feeding stability and productivity.

Consistent batches, stable performance

We control the chemical composition of every batch and maintain consistency from lot to lot. With stable composition, welding behaviour follows suit — variation in penetration, wetting and bead formation is small. When a new batch is introduced, welders generally need not readjust parameters or alter their technique.

Stable welding behaviour lowers rework, reducing scrap and the associated quality costs. For high-volume, continuous production, consistent wire performance is precisely what keeps overall costs in check.

Technical service

Wire selection involves more than choosing a grade. Drawing on your base material, joint configuration and on-site conditions, we help determine the appropriate filler material and offer practical guidance on the direction of the welding procedure specification (WPS). For any questions on selection or process, you are welcome to contact our technical team.

  • Selection advice: helping you identify the appropriate ER grade for your base material and on-site conditions.
  • WPS guidance: helping you organise process parameters and the relevant standards.
  • On-site welding training: we can arrange hands-on practice, operator training and technical exchange on site.
